I just love this pouch I recently finished for the Tiny Florals Anonymous Swap! I sent it off to my partner already, so all I have left are these photos. So sad, but I so hope she enjoys her bag…I had a hard time parting with it!
My partner for this swap is an avid knitter and has the most beautiful Instagram feed full of lovely shawls and pretty socks. This bag suited her so well, I just had to make it for her.
I found the pattern for this bag in the Quilt Festival 2016/2017 special annual issue. The pattern is written by the talented Minki Kim, who also has a beautiful and inspiring feed on Instagram.
I used my beautiful Tilda fabrics from the Sweetheart Collection on this bag. It has a patchwork front and back and I did a little hand quilting on the front in addition to the machine quilting. The hand quilting didn’t stand out as much as I had hoped it would but I do think it added a special touch. I added a little rose label on the back of the bag as a finishing touch.
I enjoyed making this pouch so much! I might need to make another one for me sometime…
I added a few extra handmade items to my box – a pincushion and a hexie sewing kit.
I’ll post more photos of the hexie sewing kit soon!
