I have been collecting and saving up a variety of strawberry fabrics for a special little project for my daughter.
After acquiring this pretty little stack of strawberry prints, I decided it was time to start that project, even though I really have a lot of other projects that I should finish first…but they can wait. <wink>
I was so excited to cut into this pretty pile of strawberry goodness! And I love how this little project turned out. Isn’t it so cute!
This is the Strawberry Patchwork Bag. You can find the pattern in Kerri Horsley’s book, Lovely Little Patchwork. This is the first project I’ve made from her book, but there are lots more I want to make soon. It’s full of beautiful and useful projects!
Sewing all these cute little strawberry fabrics together was so much fun! I loved arranging them and rearranging them. The cord I used was just some leftover that I had on hand but I could’ve used bias tape, too. The strawberry ribbon came from a little shop on Etsy.
I’m hoping my daughter can get lots of use out of this little backpack before she grows out of it. I’m thinking she can put her dance shoes in it and toss in crayons and paper for trips in the car, too.
I have lots of leftover strawberry fabrics, so I’m sure there will be more strawberry themed projects coming. I don’t think I can ever get enough of these cute strawberry prints!
