I squeezed in one last little project for round 4 of the Quilt Petite Sew Along. I just got my order of Amy Sinibaldi’s brand new lines, Charleston and Les Petites, and had to make something out of her new beautiful fabric!
I love this line of fabric so much!! The color palette is so perfect. I love these shades of blue and pink.
I decided to make a quick little zipper pouch, since I only had a couple days to complete the project. I used the Scattered Stars paper piecing pattern from the Quilt Petite book. The rest of the pouch I just made up as I went along. It was really fun!
I fussy cut the umbrella fabric because it was just too cute. I had to make sure those little umbrellas were featured prominently! I used a bit of ribbon as a zipper pull but I’d really like to find an umbrella zipper charm. I think that’s the final touch these pouches really need.
As it turns out, zipper pouches are like potato chips…I can’t make just one! I made another one just the other day. They’re sort of addictive…and so useful! I’m keeping some of my essential oils in one of these pouches and could use many more pouches for my make-up, pencils, planner stickers, etc.
