I’ve never really done new year’s resolutions. I seem to fail before I can even get started.
But I do want to see changes in my life so I decided…why don’t I try making monthly goals? I’ve never tried it before but it seems a lot more doable.
So we’ll see how it goes!
Personal Goals for February
Read One Book
I love books! I have a huge stack of them to read. Problem is, I’m too busy to sit down and read more than the first few chapters of any book. So I really want to read one book in its entirety this month. It’s gonna be tough, though.
Finish an Unfinished Project
I’m great at starting things and not so great at finishing them. I have a tendency to get all excited about projects, crafts, and ideas but then, I’m over it. It’s the story of my life…
Try Something New
I don’t know what this will end up being but I definitely need to add some variety to my mundane same old, same old life. If you’ve got ideas for something I should try out, lemme know!
Memorize Two Bible Verses
I’m not good at memorizing things so I’m not going to overwhelm myself. I’m starting out small. Two verses should be pretty doable, right?
Try Five New Recipes
I get into a rut with my cooking. I’ve got a total of like three recipes on rotation. I’ve really got to find some new dishes to make dinner exciting again.
Go to Bed Before 11pm
This is probably going to be the most difficult goal to achieve. Because my husband gets home late from work each day, dinner and bedtime gets pushed out during the weekdays. By the time I’m done putting my kiddos to bed, finishing up the laundry, picking up, and cleaning the kitchen, it’s pretty late.
Schedule Time to Scrapbook
I’m years behind with scrapbooking! I want to set aside some time each weekend to work on catching up. It’s hard to get motivated, though, because I’m not sure I can ever catch up. It’s gonna be a chore.
Read Aloud to the Kids Each Day
They’re only little for so long. I want to enjoy our reading times together by doing it more often. They won’t always want to sit and read with me.
That’s it! Have you set any goals for yourself this month?
