My little girlie loves books.
Loves them.
She can spend an afternoon totally immersed in a pile of books.
She also loves being read to. She has the greatest attention span of any 3 year old I know. You will run out of voice before she runs out of interest. For real.
So, for Christmas this year, one of her gifts was a box full of children’s picture books.
She received a lot of popular titles but this more unknown title is her favorite: The Golden Feather by David and JJ Heller.
This story is about a mother tucking her little girl into bed one night.
The little girl’s mother asks her,”What will you dream tonight, My Love?”
The little girl answers and tells of the exciting adventure she will go on in her dreams with her discovery of a golden feather.
It’s a simple sweet story and the illustrations are beautiful and vibrant.
And there’s a special bonus… This is my daughter’s favorite part.
There is a hidden bunny on every page.
And if you think the bunnies are easy to spot…they’re not. See how hard my daughter is looking to find those bunnies?
We’ve read the book several times and still haven’t found all the bunnies. But we discover more with each reading.
It makes each reading fun and new.
There’s even a hidden bunny on the back cover of the book.
See?
And speaking of JJ Heller. I received her latest CD, I Dream of You, from Hubby for Christmas.
I love it.
The melodies are calming and sweet. The sound of this album is a lot like the early Ingrid Michaelson albums, only better. Because most of the songs were written to her children, the songs are filled with beautiful meaningful lyrics.
And just in case you wanted to hear one of the songs…well, here you go!
