Remember kindergarten? Remember all the fun crafty learning that went on? So much fun, right? And remember all the crayons you went through? My little girlie is in kindergarten and we use lots and lots of crayons. We bring them out daily for coloring, drawing, tracing, and lots more!
When you use crayons on a daily basis you really gotta keep them handy. We started keeping a box of crayons out where we work, on the kitchen table, but the yellow box was getting a little beat up and well, it’s kind of ugly, too. I thought we needed a cute place for our crayons to live.
Indroducing…the Crayon Castle Caddy!
Could there possibly be a cuter place to keep crayons?
I think not!
These cute crayon cups have an attached lid so the lid will never be lost. Yay! The little wool felt ball on top of the lid is my favorite. Super cute touch.
As you can see, I have not yet mastered the art of sewing with directional fabric. I managed to get those little mushrooms to go completely upside down. No idea how that happened. Thankfully, my baby girl doesn’t care.
This pattern can be found in Amy Sinibaldi’s book, Sweetly Stitched Handmades. This is the same book that I used to make the teddy bear pillow for my daughter. And there’s many more cute items included, too.
I used fabrics from the Faraway Forest collection by Lizzie Mackay. They’re super fun and coordinate so well together.
My daughter and I love to color together and now with all these brand new crayons and cute caddies, well, we have some coloring to do!
